～I don't know,Slopestyle is just fuckin' fun,what else can you say!!
It's just cool 'cause nowadays,people are building a bunch of different types of shit to hit,like curved boxes and other weird little mess around junk like like that!!～
What is it that makes snowboarding fun?
This is something that I have been thinking about a lot.
Snow conditions?Good powder snow is fun,but you can have just as much fun riding on hard icy snow or slushy spring snow,you just need to know how.
How about weather?Snowboarding under a blue sky and big round sun is fun,but I have had some great days riding in blizzards and even the rain.So what is it that makes snowboarding fun?Do you have to be really good to have fun?
No,I had fun the first days riding,so much fun that I have been snowboarding for 5 years now!!
After a lot of thought on this subject I think I finally have the answer.It is my friends that make snowboarding fun.The people I ride with,it is their energy combined with my own that make the difference between a good day riding and a super fun day on the mountain.
Friends act as a mirror,reflecting back how much fun you are having so that you can really appreciate it.I love riding with friends,it is the best,it is the essence of snowboarding to me.
Sometimes riding in front,sometimes following and watching.Choosing the people I ride with in turn creates my riding style.
So you feed off of each other as you ride,learning as you go.
As a professional,I wish snowboarding become my job.but I don't like the word "pro-boarder",it makes snowboarding sound like work!I prefer to create a session among snowboarding friends and take some pictures to capture the moment,enjoy it!!
There were a lot of great sessions this season,I can't remember how many times I snowboarded,but everytime was fun and I got some good photo's.
On the following pages I will see a collection of photo's from those ridings.Each photo contains good memories for me and I hope they inspire you!!
So call friends and make some plans to go riding this coming winter,because that is how the fun times start!!
